Let’s get started!

Step 1:

Paint your clay pots in the color of your choice. I chose three different colors to coordinate with my gnome figures. Secure twine to rim of pot with hot glue wrapping twine around until desired look is achieved. You should only need to secure twine at beginning and end with hot glue.

Step 2:

Stuff pot with Styrofoam filler securing Styrofoam with hot glue.

Step 3:

Hot glue faux moss to top of Styrofoam. My Styrofoam was already a dark color so I did not have to paint it. If you are using white Styrofoam, you may want to paint the top green. This will prevent any white color from showing through.

Step 4 & 5:

Write the words LOVE GROWS HERE on your wooden signs and hot glue them to the rim of your pots.

Use E6000 glue to secure your gnome figures to the top of the Styrofoam. Let figures sit overnight to insure they are securely attached.

I think what I love best about this DIY, besides those adorable gnomes, is its uniqueness. You can choose the color pallet, the size, and especially the theme. This is definitely a DIY for you to grow from seed and see what blooms! I hope you enjoyed this DIY and remember to always incorporate your own crafty personality into every project!
