Homemade Mock Pierogi Casserole

This Quick Dish Will Leave Them Wanting More!

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 Bag Wide Egg Noodles
  • 1 Bag Instant Mashed Potatoes Family Size
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 1 16 Ounce Bag of Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 Teaspoons of butter
  • 1 Baking Dish
  • Measuring Cup

How to Make Homemade Mock Pierogi Casserole

  1. Grease the sides and bottom of your baking dish with butter.
  2. Boil egg noodles for 5 minutes. You want them Al Dente.
  3. Cook instant potatoes to directions on packaging.
  4. Cut onion into thin slices and sauté with butter.
  5. Place a layer of noodles on the bottom of your baking dish.
  6. Place a layer of potatoes over your noodles.
  1. Layer thinly sliced onions over your potatoes.
  2. Sprinkle cheese on top of onions to your liking.
  1. Repeat steps 5 through 8. This is a 2 layer dish.
  2. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Don’t get me wrong…I love good homemade pirogies! For a quick, easy, tasty treat this mock pierogi dish is a win, win, win.
